An ethical attitude is a neccesity and base of all kind of business. We all know this and follow it but sometimes businessman commit mistakes and keep the ethics aside for the sake of the profit this unprofessional attitude results in loss of reputation of the company.
The word ethic is in the formost demand of hosting customers by the companies providing hosting services, every profesion has its own code of conduct, This is a code which all hosting companies need to follow if they want to stay in business for the long term. What attitude is considered as ethics in hosting business? the major reason of switching customers from one company to another is Unexplained and unexpected downtime. This problem from the service providers irritate the customers most. People make sites so that others can come on site but due to downtime people avoid coming to the site, thinking it has expired or stopped working and hence, lots of sideeffects are to be faced by the siteowners. Search engines tend to drop sites which are down too often or for too long a period of time. Sometimes there are genuine reasons for the downtime but it is the responsibility of hosting provider to inform the customer about the things early.
Second, thing which is not taken into consideration is overloading of server because thats the way these service providers earn more income but while doing this, performance of the sites should also be checked.
Third and the most important is communication gap. This gap should totally be avoided in the services like providing hosting. The commonication gap create lots of confusions between the two parties which can be easily solved out by talking with each other. Share the informations and problems with the customers and let them know the things before time so that customer can manage the things accordingly.
If a person engaged in hosting service strictly follow the ethics of the business surely he/she can touch the sky in this field with lots of happy customers.
